Wayne J. Wilding, 54, of Fall River, passed away suddenly from injuries sustained by riding his motorcycle on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of thirty-four years to Christine (Souza) Wilding. Wayne was born in Fall River the son of the late Albert J. Wilding Sr. and Carol A. (Ferreira) Oliveira and his mom Rosalie Pelletier of Taunton. Wayne loved his wife and his family. He loved the patriots and the Boston Bruins, Wayne enjoyed watching his granddaughter shine on stage at her dance competitions and his grandsons play baseball. Wayne worked at Heat Transfer Products in Freetown as a head mechanic. Wayne also worked at the Televand Inc. as a phone technician. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 314. He was known as the teddy bear of the family. Wayne and his sister in law had special nicknames for each other that was a joke between them. Survivors besides his wife and mother are his children: Melissa J. Tavares of Fall River; Amanda L. Aguiar of Fall River; Stephen W. Tavares of Fall River; grandchildren: Kattie Botelho (whom he raised like a daughter) Cameron Merkt, Kaccie Hobbs, Krishtian Hobbs, Jeffrey Pires Jr., Destiny Aguiar, Kyle Tavares, Koddie Hobbs, Amber Buchanan, Makayla Tavares, Austin Tavares and Jacob Reynolds; great grandchildren: Sophia and Ashton Botelho; siblings: Rhonda L. Marshall of Fort Pierce, FL; Dawn Soares of Fall River; Lisa Rison of East Providence; Keith E. Wilding of South Dartmouth; Randy S. Wilding of Fall River; Albert J. Wilding III, of Fall River; nephew: Robert Marshall of Fall River; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins; mother in law Candice Robinson of Fall River; brother in law of Robert Silvia and his friends Michael White, Manny Santos and the late Frank Knight. Calling Hours for Wayne will be held on Tuesday September 15 from 9 am to 11 am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Service at noon in Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 4321 North Main Street, Fall River. (Facial Coverings and social distancing will be followed at the funeral home and church) Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery Somerset.
