Obituary


Thomas E. Alecrim, age 83, passed away on Thursday September 30, 2021. He was the son of the late Joseph C. And Mary F. (Walsh) Alecrim and husband of the late Maureen C. (Francz). Thomas was an administrator for the Fall River School Department, and later was the Director of Planning at Citizens for Citizens, Inc., where was responsible for overseeing a new Daycare he built by tradesman that volunteered their time. He was an avid New York Yankee’s and New England Patriot’s fan, who enjoyed going out to eat at the finest restaurants, reading and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
He is survived by his daughters: Kelly Kenyon (husband Kevin), Lynn Alecrim Nunes (husband David), grandchildren: Jennifer, Christopher, Brendan Kenyon, Mark Nunes and Ryan Alecrim, great grandchildren: Jacob, Addisyn, Ethan, Julian, Cole, Lennon and M.J., and companion Geraldine Belanger. 
Thomas’ family would like to thank the staff at Somerset Ridge for the exceptional care they provided to him and his family over the past couple of weeks.
Calling hours for Thomas will be  held on Monday, October 4, 2021 between 5:00 and 8:00 PM in  the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cathedral, 327 Second Street, Fall River at 10:00 AM on Tuesday October 5, 2021. Those attending are asked to please wear masks. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery 2233 Robeson St. Fall River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forever Paws Animal Shelter 300 Lynwood St. Fall River, MA 02721.
