Obituary

Thomas Cummings III, age 80 passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Thomas Jr. and Estelle (Stasiowski) Cummings and the beloved husband of Barbara (Pontes) Cummings. Thomas was a graduate of Durfee High School Class of 1960 and attended college at New Mexico Tech. He was also a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Thomas enjoyed watching and attending the Providence College Friars, was proud of his lawn and enjoyed being at home surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Thomas Cummings the IV (wife Betsie) and Brian P. Cummings (wife Corey), grandchildren: Tyler and Darcy.

Calling hours for Thomas will take place on Tuesday May, 24 4-7 PM at the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. His funeral will take place on Wednesday May 25, 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic’s Church, at 10 AM 1277 GAR Highway, Swansea.
