TIVERTON-Sheila Kelly-Chace, 69, passed away on August 2, 2022, she was the loving wife of Jeffrey P. Chace, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.
Sheila was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Donald R. Kelly and Cecelia B. (Sonski) Kelly.
Sheila was employed as a guidance counselor for over 20 years at New Bedford High School and dedicated her life to helping local youth succeed in their dreams. Prior to working at New Bedford High School, Sheila also worked for the City of Fall River, Bristol Community College, and Fox Point Health Center in Providence. As an undergraduate, she attended Williams College and graduated from Wheaton College. She also obtained a master’s degree of Education from Bridgewater State University.
She enjoyed being by the water and the time she spent with her family at Howland Beach. Sheila also enjoyed the theater, gardening and traveling with her family. She had recently visited Ireland, Italy, and Hungary. A social and outgoing woman, Sheila will be deeply missed by those who knew her best.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter Sara Chace Dwyer and her husband Shane of Cranston, RI; siblings, Winifred Kelly and Hugh Kelly both of Fall River and her beloved grandson Warren Chace Dwyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 5pm-8pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River.
