Samuel E. Marshall, 95, of North Dartmouth passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Crowley) Marshall.
Born in Eufaula, Alabama, son of the late Wash Oliver Marshall and Maude (Corbett) Marshall, He had lived in the Greater New Bedford area since returning from the service.
Mr. Marshall served in the Navy during WWII and later worked as a forklift operator at Alden Corrugated until his retirement. He also worked as a builder. Sam enjoyed BINGO and trips to the casino, watching Cowboy and Action movies, watching Wrestling and socializing with friends.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Rose Richards of North Dartmouth; a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Riel; two great grandchildren, Morgan Riel and Zachary King; and a niece and caregiver, Monique Coe of New Bedford. Mr. Marshall was the father of the late George E. Marshall and grandfather of the late Jason E. King.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
