ATTLEBORO- Ronald Paul Smith, 63, passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 17, 2022. He was the longtime companion and fiancé of Mary M. Delgado.
Ron was born and raised in Attleboro and was the son of Antonette (Scialoia) Smith and the late Joseph Smith.
Ron was employed as a caster at Robbins Company for many years and also worked security at Gillette Stadium and Walmart. He was proud to have worked every Patriots game during the Tom Brady years and was a die hard New England sports fan. Ron also enjoyed spending time on the cape and had a passion for antique cars. He will be remembered as a kind and funny who was always a joy to be around. Ron cherished the time he spent with his extended family and always treated his nephews as his own children.
Surviving in addition to his fiancee Mary are his brother, Alan J. Smith, Sr of Gainesville, FL; nephews, Alan J. Smith, Jr of Attleboro and Ric Smith of Gainesville, FL and countless lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 10-11am in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Prayers will begin at 11am in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
