Obituary
Dighton - Ronald C. Aguiar Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023 with his loving wife by his side. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Carvalho) Aguiar and beloved husband of Blanche (Fontaine) Aguiar of 61 years. Ronald was a heavy equipment operator for many years up until his retirement. He was all around family man who enjoyed working with his back hoe in his yard, riding his ATV, going boating, camping, splitting wood, sitting by the fire with family and friends, singing old hymns even if he didn’t;t know the words and taking trips with Blanche to Florida.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Ronald C. Aguiar Jr. (wife Nancy), and Doreen Boivin (husband James), grandchildren: James Boivin Jr. (wife Alicia), Ronald C. Aguiar III (wife Yisel), Nicole Boivin (fiancé Sean Hunsberger Sr.) and Rachel Finney (husband Sam), great grandchildren: Sean Jr., Avery, Hayden, Eliana and Jameson and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his several brothers and sisters and is reunited with his beloved dogs.
There will be an hour of visitation on Saturday, May 20 from 9-10AM at the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals 900 Buffinton St., Somerset with a memorial service following at 11AM at the Hillside Bible Baptist Church 2388 County St., Dighton. Burial will be private.
