Obituary

Robert F. Conley, Jr., 69, passed away on July 28, 2020 after a long illness. He was born in Providence, RI and was the son of the late Robert F. Conley and Claire C. (Dwyer) Conley.

Bob was born and raised in Attleboro, the oldest of ten siblings, and went on to attend and graduate the Boston Conservatory where he earned his Bachelors of Music. Bob was a lifelong talented musician and enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion. He was a die hard Bostonian and never left the city after graduating. Living next to Fenway Park, he was a lifelong Red Sox fan. Bob was an avid collector of music and built an extensive collection of classical records and CDs over the years. Bob had a special devotion to Jesus and his Catholic Church. He was close to saints Lucy and Cecilia, as well as Our Lady.  Bob often played liturgical music at area churches.  Bob was blind at birth but he was dedicated to playing beautiful music and honoring God. Bob had a devotion to Saint Theresa of Calcutta, and all Sisters of Charity, and their work with the poorest of the poor.

A quiet but kind, man, Bob will be deeply missed by his large extended family and many lifelong friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Stephen J. Conley of Waltham, Michael J. Conley and his wife Karen of Tacoma, WA, Anne Constantino and her husband Nick of Safety Harbor, FL, Mark Conley of Sacramento, CA, Gregory Conley of Anchorage, AK, Christopher E. Conley and his wife Lois of Wolfeboro, NH, Peter D. Conley and his wife Beverly of Peachtree City, GA, Jacqueline Anzivino and her husband Anthony of Derry, NH and Claire Conley of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
