It is with great sadness and with so many pleasant memories that we offer our condolences to the family of Renate (aka Betty) Hamer.  We met her when Gilman (Sgt Hamer) introduced us when they lived on Bridge St in Fairhaven.
Strange to remember that they hosted Evelyn's first ever birthday party more than 68 years ago.  We also remember the many Christmas Eve get togethers in Dartmouth where she made mini sandwiches for our dining pleasure.
It has been a while, but I expect that Erica and her brothers still remember us and it is to these people and their families that we express  our condolences and sympathy.  You can all every proud of both your parents.  We are very proud to have had them as dear friends.

My dear aunt Renate was very close to me all my life, and not just because of common interests.
She will always stay in my heart.
Our deepest sympathy to the whole family, our thoughts are with you.
