Obituary

Raymond W. Casey, Jr., 84, passed away on December 31, 2020. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Gosson) Casey.

Ray was born in Fall River and was the son of the late Raymond W. Casey, Sr, and Irene (Lecomte) Casey.

Ray served his country honorably in the US Navy and went on to hold a long and rewarding career working for Haskon Plastics in Taunton, retiring as a foreman. Ray also worked for Fisher Bus Company for several years as a school bus driver, a job he enjoyed going to every day. Ray enjoyed skiing, swimming, boating and traveling the country in his camper. Ray was a “techy” and always kept up on the latest and greatest technology. He had an uncanny ability to teach anyone who wanted to learn about how to use the latest gadget. Ray was always on the move and keeping busy with projects around the house and helping others in the neighborhood. He was a wealth of information and a supporter of all those around him. He will be remembered as a loving and kind husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family.

Ray is survived by his children, Raymond W. Casey III and his wife Deborah, William Casey and his wife Jocelyn and Susan Collins all of Somerset and Debra Carvalho and her husband Joseph of Westport; sister, Maureen O’Neill and her husband Jack of FL; grandchildren, Tammy Collins, Robert Collins, Jennifer Aguiar, Justin Carvalho, Jordan Carvalho, Lance Casey, Logan Casey, Andrea Shaul, Ryan Casey and Kimberly Dunne; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Robert, Reese, Ella, Kristopher, Alexis, Tristen, Nickolas, Angelina, RJ, Greysen, Aubrey, Ethan and Brielle. He has several great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Thomas Collins, brother of the late Robert Casey and grandfather of the late Kristopher Collins.

Private arrangements are entrusted to the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, Somerset.

A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at a later date.
