Obituary

Randy D. Ellis Sr, 70 of Mashpee passed away at Falmouth Hospital on Tuesday November 8, 2022, after a period of declining health due to complications from COVID-19.

Born in Potsdam, New York, he was 1 of 11 born to Donald Jay Ellis Sr, and Bertel (Paro) Ellis. 

After high school he enlisted with the US Navy and was Honorably Discharged in November of 1971. 

He leaves behind three children, Meagan & husband Dan Shaffer of Quincy, MA, Randy D. Ellis Jr. and wife Monica Ellis of Harwich, MA and his daughter Suzanne B. Ellis of Fairhaven, MA. 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Harrison, Willow Jane, Josie, and Simone. 

He was loved and cared for the last 16 years by his partner Christine Kerrigan of Mashpee, and her daughter Kasey Kerrigan. 

He is survived by brothers Timothy and Barry Ellis, sisters Elaine Lehr and Dawn Finch all of New York and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased in life by his loving wife of 35 years Susan Jane Mcmahon Ellis, and his daughter Angela Waters Leblanc. 

Randy last worked for Eagle Fence of Mashpee, before his retirement in 2019. 

Randy's favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed most with his granddaughter. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding along with listening to music, cooking, telling stories, gardening and reading.

He was an avid Patriots and NASCAR fan. 

Randy always provided a sense of humor no matter what cards life dealt him.

Randy was a member of the American Legion Post 230 and a Knight of Columbus.
