Paul W. Renaux, 73, of Fairhaven passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a long illness. He was the loving husband of 46 years to Carol (Hughes) Renaux.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Albert F. and Grace E. (Valentine) Renaux, he lived most of his life in Fairhaven where he was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and a 1965 graduate of Fairhaven High School. Paul served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and later attended Northeastern University where he was certified as a Paralegal. Paul was also a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years.
He loved to golf, build hotrods, go camping, water skiing and go to the auto races. Paul was also a member of the A.C.T.S. team at St. Joseph’s Church.
He is survived by his wife Carol; two sons, Christian J. Renaux and his wife Rae of Raynham and Daniel P. Renaux of Fairhaven; three grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda and Adam; a brother, Bruce G. Renaux and his wife Patty of VA and several nieces and nephews. Paul was the brother of the late Scott Renaux.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, May 17, 2021 at 10AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven.
