Paul V. Pellerin, 72, of Somerset, a Retired Major with the Massachusetts Army National Guard, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday January 8, 2014. He was the husband of forty-nine years to Mary (Carreiro) Pellerin. Paul was born in Fall River the son of the late Victor A. and Lizette (Desmarais) Pellerin. He was a graduate of the former Msgr. Prevost High School class of 1959. Mr. Pellerin served his country with the United States Marine Corp and then with the Massachusetts Army National Guard for a combined thirty years earning the rank of Major, before retiring in 1994. While serving his country Paul earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Anna Maria College. He was the Senior Vice Commandant of the LCPL John Van Gyzen Marine Corp League in Somerset. Paul cherished the time he spent with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. Survivors besides his wife are four daughters: Lee M. Pellerin of Somerset, MA; Michelle A. Souza of Swansea, MA; Nicole P. Parker and her husband Keith of Fayetteville, GA; Mary J. Dionne and her husband Matthew of Somerset, MA; seven grandchildren: Ethan, Haley, Owen, William, Andrew Paul, Jackson, and Lily; a sister: Madeleine Pellerin O.S.F. of Rochester, MN along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Victor A. Pellerin and Daniel R. Pellerin.
