Somerset- Paul A. Gagnon, 82 of Swansea, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 21, 2022. He was the husband of sixty-two years to the love of his life, Judith (Radcliffe) Gagnon.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Olive (Garcia) and Alfred Gagnon.
Along with his wife, Paul is survived by his two children; Paul A. Gagnon and his wife Brenda of Fall River and Glenn Gagnon and his partner Jim McKevitt of Schenectady, NY. Grandfather to Shawna Daigneau, James Gagnon and Joel Gagnon. Brother to Jeanne Brown and her husband Stan of Lady Lake, FL. Paul was the grandfather of the late Justin Desrosiers. He was the brother to the late Rita Roy, the late Richard Gagnon, the late Kenneth Gagnon, and the late David Gagnon.
Paul dedicated his life to his family and his faith. He has been an active member of the South Swansea Baptist Church since 1984. He served as the church Treasurer for over thirty years, he served as the Trustee of the church, he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon in the church. He also played the guitar for a music group “Sing for Joy” that preformed at nursing homes in the area. Paul was an avid shooter and was a Bruins, Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Paul on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals 900 Buffinton Street Somerset, MA 02726. Prayer service will be held for Paul on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the funeral home at 9:00am following burial at Mt Hope Cemetery in Swansea.
