Nora B. Ferreira

Nora B. (Borges) Ferreira, 95, of Fairhaven passed away peacefully Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Our Lady’s Haven.  She was the wife of the late Edwin Ferreira.

Born and raised in Acushnet, daughter of the late Serafin and Maria (Souza) Borges, she settled in Fairhaven in 1995 and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church.

Nora had been an inspector/folder at Cameo Curtains.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, going to the Senior Center, trips to the casinos and she was an excellent cook.

She is survived by her children, Truda A. Wood of Lakeville and Wayne E. Ferreira and his companion Ingrid Nadeau of Acushnet;  two grandchildren, Melissa Buell and her husband Jonathan Marks of CA and Jarret Ferreira and his wife Katie Williams-Ferreira of SC;  four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Ferreira was the mother in law of the late Harold Wood and the last of six siblings.

In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated and private interment in Acushnet Cemetery is under the direction of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.  For memorial register please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
