Nathan C. Furtado, 40, of Berkley, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of thirteen years to Michelle L. (Cross) Furtado and devoted father of Adelaide .
Nathan was born in Burlington, Iowa the son of Douglas E. And Carol “Beth” B. (Vandeventer) Furtado. He was a graduate and standout varsity baseball player at Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School with the class of 1999. Nathan then served his country with the United States Air Force during Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Enduring Freedom Wars. He earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Furtado worked for TMLP as a Lineman for the past eight years. He was the Junior Vice Commander of the Berkley American Legion Post# 121.
Nathan loved all aspects of fishing especially when it came to fishing with his daughter and father. He also cherished the special bond he had with his brother and cherished the times he spent with family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing and keeping up with his daughters many activities.
Survivors besides his wife, daughter and parents are a brother: Sean D. Furtado and his wife Andrea of Las Vegas; paternal grandmother: Edith (Donnelly) Furtado of Taunton; maternal grandmother: Patricia (Bridgewater) Vandeventer of Las Vegas; a niece: Autumn; a nephew: Nicholas, who loved their uncle very much, and many aunts uncles and cousins.
Memorial Visitation for Nathan will be held on Tuesday March 2, 2021 from 4-7pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. (Facial coverings and social distancing are required to enter the facility).
