Naomi S. (Galvin) Holden, 50 of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the former wife of Peter Holden.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Verna (Wyer) Galvin of Fairhaven and the late Thomas Galvin, she live most of her life in Fairhaven. Naomi attended Bishop Stang High School and graduated from New Bedford High School. She received her Associate Degree from Fisher College and worked as a customer service rep at Fiber Optics in New Bedford. Prior to that she had worked at Dartmouth Medical Equipment for many years.
Naomi found happiness in gardening, time at the beach and enjoying the company of her dogs Sophie, Oliver and Milo.
She is survived by her mother and former husband; two daughters, Kelcey A. Galvin of New Bedford and Shelby J. Galvin and her companion Jordan Burris of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Layla and Kai Burris; two step sisters, Mahnomen and Maya Galvin; an aunt, Wendy Boyle of Indianapolis, IN; and uncle, Roger Wyer and his wife Orvilla of Charlotte, NC and cousins Richard, Elise and Scott.
Calling Hours are Tuesday from 6-8pm in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. Her funeral will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 9am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
