Milton W. Healy, 91, of Fairhaven, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Bedford, after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of 64 years to the late Marilyn T. (Leaver) Healy.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph Arthur Healy and Kathryn (Reed) Healy, he was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven. Mr. Healy was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and the Swain School of Design. Mr. Healy served in the Army during the Korean War. He was an artist and a self employed advertising agent. He enjoyed golfing, playing tennis and ballroom dancing with his wife.
Survivors include his four sons, Milton W. Healy, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Fairhaven, Robert D. Healy and his wife Mary Ellen of Cape Coral, FL, Bradford J. Healy and his wife Lori and William C. Healy of New Bedford; two daughters, Lynne A. Manley and her husband Thomas of East Freetown and Lauri E. Bertrand and her husband Timothy of Fairhaven; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Arthur Healy.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in the Acushnet Cemetery.
