Obituary


Michelle C. (Dalbec) Ouellette, 74, a longtime resident of New Bedford, and more recently of Fall River and Swansea, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 surrounded by family. She was the widow of Roger E. Ouellette, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Leo A.J. Dalbec and the late Marie V. (Long) Dalbec, she worked in a number of secretarial roles over the years, including at Lemieux Plumbing and Heating, the Bristol County Retirement Board, and as an aide to the late New Bedford Mayor Fred Kailis. 
She is survived by a son, Scott Ouellette and his wife Beth of Swansea; a brother, Leo P. Dalbec and his wife Beate of Rochester, MA; two grandchildren, Juila and Jack Ouellette; a nephew, Gregg Dalbec and a niece, Nicole Micceli. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dalbec. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 30 S. Main St., Assonet, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. A time of public visitation will also be held Monday from 5-8PM in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA.
