Mary Ann Kozik

Mary Ann (Szargowicz) Kozik, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Wanda (Stafiej) Szargowicz, and the beloved wife of Richard Kozik.  Mary Ann was a B.M.C. Durfee graduate who went on to Bristol Community College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Business followed by UMASS Dartmouth. She was the Group Insurance Administrator for the City of Fall River for 42 years. Mary Ann was also a member of St. Stan’s Seniors, she enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Fall River Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling and was very proud of her Polish heritage.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sister-in-law Joan Szargowicz niece: Diane Medeiros (husband Michael): cousins and several godchildren. She was also the sister of the late Chester Szargowicz.
Her family would also like to express their sincerest thanks to Southcoast Visiting Nurses Association/Hospice for all their care and compassion they received.
Calling Hours for Mary Ann will take place on Monday, April 25th from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St. Fall River. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Church, 36 Rockland St. Fall River at 10 AM. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to the St. Stanislaus School 37. Rockland St. Fall River, MA 02724.
