Martha E. Costa

Martha E. (Plourde) Costa, 79, of Boca Raton, Florida formerly of Westport, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023 at the Trustbridge Hospice Center in Boca Raton. She was the wife of sixty years to William D. Costa. Martha was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Azarius and Betsy (Ross) Plourde. She was a graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy class of 1961. Mrs. Costa then raised her family and graduated from the Truesdale School of Nursing in 1980. Mrs. Costa and her husband enjoyed boating to Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, Nantucket aboard “Prime Time”. She enjoyed skiing, decorating her home for the holidays, gardening and cooking.

Survivors besides her husband are two sons: Barry D. Costa of Arcadia, Ohio and Michael L. Costa of Fall River; a granddaughter: Erika Costa of Fall Rive; a sister: Barbara Fillion of Cape Cod.

Her Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 8:30am to 9:30am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
