Marilyn K. Angus

Marilyn K. Angus, 92, of North Dighton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in the Life Care of Attleboro Healthcare.  She was the devoted wife to the late Melvin L. Angus.

Born in Attleboro, MA she is the daughter to the late Samuel G. Ritter and the late Edna (Lees).    Marilyn graduated from high school she went on to attend and graduate from Hairdressing School.  Her and her husband owned Custom Lino Craft in Attleboro.  She held a strong devotion to her faith and to her family.  Marilyn was a faithful member of the West Congregational Church in Taunton.  She was a nurturing person filled with compassion for family, friends and even neighbors.  She would go out of her way to help anyone that was in need.  She helped raise many children in the neighborhood while she was bringing up her own family.  Marilyn had an outgoing personality that made it easy for family and friends to confide in her with their troubles and she was always willing to help to any that she could.  Marilyn loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  She always had German Shepard dogs while the children were growing up and even owned a donkey.  She loved her family so much that she even adapted other family members tastes for things like furniture, rugs and color schemes.  Marilyn loved to be with her family and friends, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Jan K. Angus and his wife Kathryn of North Dighton.  Her daughter-in-law Antonina Angus.  She is the proud grandmother to Kerry Simister of Manchester, NH, Joanne Porter of Martinsburg, WV, Jennifer Hill of Lincoln, RI and Heather Davis of Taunton, MA.  Marilyn is the great grandmother to Ian Scott, Hailey Scott, Aidan Simister, Ethan Davis and Max Hill.  She is the great great grandmother to Anniston.  Aunt to Leslie Puida of Doylestown, PA  She is the mother to the late Keith R. Angus and the sister to the late Eleanor Smilas.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a Prayer Service at 3:00pm in the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home 350 Somerset Ave Taunton, MA 02780.
