Marilyn (Verros) Harovas, 82, a longtime resident of West Hartford, CT, Enfield, CT and more recently of Quincy, MA, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at John Adams Healthcare of Quincy, MA.
She was the widow of Phillip Harovas who passed away in 1997.
Born in Fall River, MA a daughter of the late Gust Verros and the late Helen (Felides) Verros.
She graduated from Bryant College in Providence, RI, and briefly worked reception for a local physician, but her real work came when she became a mother to two children, spending all her time teaching them how to be good people who contribute to the world, cultivating their interests and skills, and being everything a mother should be. She took pride in her children, and was their greatest supporter. She did things such as create a manners class for her children when they were young, teaching them proper etiquette, table manners, etc. and even created hand calligraphy diplomas to give to them. She repeated the class for her grandchildren. She taught them and others grace, class and respect. She loved deeply and unconditionally. She always wished people well and held them in her heart and prayed for them if they were in need. She taught by example through her entire lifetime. She loved her Grandchildren so very much, with her only regret being that she could not share the joy of being a Grandparent with her husband Philip.
She is survived by a son, Perry J. Harovas of Sherman, CT; a daughter, Melanie Davis and husband Jim Davis of Milton, MA; a brother, Zachary Verros and his wife Jeannine of Mashpee, MA; and six grandchildren, Demi Davis, Anthia Davis, Lexin Davis, Sophia Harovas, Anna Harovas and Stephanie Harovas.
