Obituary

Margaret Rodrigues, 86, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2020. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Rodrigues.

Margaret was born in New Bedford and was the daughter of the late Florentino Adesso and Antoinette (Olando) Adesso.

Margaret was employed locally in the garment industry and worked as a presser at local mills. She was employed with Shelburn Shirt for over 20 years and later worked for Fram Filters in GA. Margaret loved the outdoors and was a true sun worshiper. She enjoyed riding her bike, walking and working outside in her garden. Margaret was also an avid bowler at Holiday Lanes in Somerset and had a passion for motorcycles. Margaret could do anything she put her mind to and cared deeply for her family.

She is survived by her son, Robert Rodrigues and his wife Kathleen of Beverly Hills, FL; brother Frank Adesso of New Bedford and grandson, David J. Rodrigues of Harwich and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Antone, James, Paul and Florentino Adesso, Jr., Constance Gamacho, Theresa Florent, Christina Adesso, Mary Costa and Doris Burgess.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 10:00 am, in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St.., Somerset, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

Calling hours will from 9-10:30am in the funeral home.
