Linda Ann Knapp

November 7, 2021

Linda Ann Knapp, 66, of Attleboro, Mass., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Tarysh Waterfield of Attleboro.

Linda was born in Danbury, Conn., on Sept. 20, 1955, the daughter of George J. and Marjorie M. Knapp. She attended local schools, graduating from Danbury High School in 1973. She earned a music degree from Western Connecticut State College, also in Danbury.

After college, she moved to Canton, Mass., and studied to be an optician. She worked as a licensed optician at businesses in the greater Boston area, most notably at Mass Bay Eye Associates in West Roxbury for many years and, recently, at TLC Eyeware in Canton, Mass.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her brother, John M. Knapp and his wife, Winnie Knapp, of Clinton, Conn., her sister, Elizabeth Knapp of Danbury, Conn., and several sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and her beloved goddaughter, Lindsey Richmond of Marlborough, Mass.

Linda’s bravery and perseverance during her illness was an inspiration to all. She never gave up, she never lost hope, and she never complained. Her family hopes that her struggles, and those of all her excellent caregivers, will assist in finding a cure for this horrible disease.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 10am-12pm in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston
