Lenore Cardoza, 62 of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2020. A beloved wife, mother and teacher, Lenore was born in Neptune, New Jersey and grew up in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. After years of teaching overseas in Ecuador and working in television production in Houston, Texas, she made her home in Taunton, Massachusetts. Lenore loved music and once sang for the Houston Symphony Chorale while living in Houston. She enjoyed working in media and hosted and produced numerous radio programs in both Taunton and Fall River, MA. She adored animals and frequently donated her time and materials to local animal rescue centers. She held a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) from the University of Massachusetts Boston where she graduated first in her class. Lenore went on to teach ESL at the Adult Learning Center in Brockton, Massachusetts for many years, retiring in June of 2020. Lenore loved her students and that love was always reciprocated. Lenore was a friend to all with a kind smile and compassionate soul. She truly gave the word love new meaning. Lenore was an incredible wife and mother, she made every moment special for her family. Lenore is survived by her husband John of Taunton, daughter Julia of Quincy, son John of New York City, her mother Reba Firsching of Montgomery, PA and her sister Karen Kratzer of Montgomery, PA along with many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Lenore’s family is planning to host a celebration of her life when it is safe to do so.
