We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home
Khamorn “Kham” Dam passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 44, in Weymouth, MA. His four-year battle with cancer demonstrated his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite his illness, he emerged a hero and remained strong until the end.
Kham was born on August 9, 1977 in Battambang, Cambodia and immigrated to the United States with his parents and siblings in 1980. He grew up in Attleboro, MA, the son of Sokhom and Lay Dam. He graduated from Attleboro High School in 1996. Professionally, Kham was the consummate salesman, initially in retail and eventually in automotive sales, working his way up to General Sales Manager at Boch Hyundai in Norwood, MA. Kham’s customer service skills were exceptional, while at the same time always making sure he met his customers’ needs. Even after he was unable to work, former customers sought his advice before making a purchase.
On September 14, 2013, Kham married the love of his life, Christina Quattrucci, and together they were raising two beautiful sons, Michael Sokhom, age 7, and Geno Yim, age 5. His boys were the light of his life. He always greeted them by saying, “Hi my babies!” He was an exceptionally loving husband and father.
Kham loved to play golf. There were few things he enjoyed more than being on the course with great friends Mach, Corey, Hoeun, Jason, Samme, Green Jeans, Rakan and many others. He was an avid Boston sports fan, meticulously following the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox. He had undying love for Tom Brady and Tiger Woods!
Kham is survived by his wife Christina and sons Michael and Geno; his mother, Lay Dam; brothers, Sophal (Cindy) and children Tristan and Ashley; Rakan (Christine) and children Charli and Julian; sister, Kanya (Jason Moelk) and children Lucas and Lotus; brother, Jonathan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the U.S., France, and Cambodia. His father, Sokhom Dam, died on August 15, 2019.
Kham was a special man who impacted so, so many people with his love, his spirit and his infectious smile.
