Judith A. (Andrews) McGuire, 78, of Taunton, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Marian Manor Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. McGuire, and beloved mother and grandmother to Lauren, Andrea, Sara and Michael.
Judith was born in Dighton; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanette (Stanley) Andrews. Mrs. McGuire grew up in Raynham, and attended Taunton High School where she graduated as Salutatorian, and went on to earn her Bachelors degree from Stonehill College, and her Masters of science degree in nursing (MSN) from the University of Massachusetts Worcester.
Judy was very involved with St. Thomas Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School, and worked at the church fair. She loved to cook and bake; and cherished the time she spent with her family.
Survivors are two daughters; Lauren Carroll and her husband Scott, and Andrea McGuire, two grandchildren; Sara and Michael, two brothers; Robert Andrews and Richard Andrews, two sisters; Ann McGuirk, and Lois Andrews, one brother-in-law, Gerald McGuire, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass with the Requiem Eucharist for Judith will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020, at 10am, in the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 111 High Street, Taunton. Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Glebe Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
