John D. Valerio, Jr., passed away peacefully on November 5, 2020. He was the loving husband of Terre L. (Chace) Valerio.
John was born in Ontario Canada and was the son of the late John D. Valerio and Hilda (Furtado) Valerio.
John was employed as a diesel mechanic his entire career and spent 40 years at the former Commercial Truck, now Consolidated Concrete in East Providence, RI. John was extremely handy around the house and under the hood, he loved to tinker and could fix just abut anything. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. John will be remembered as a fun loving man with a heart of gold and he will be dearly missed by his family and countless lifelong friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his step-daughter Lauren P. Iwanski and her husband Alec of Somerset; sister, Mary Lou Fluke and her husband Rick and brother, Francis Valerio and his wife Sheila all of Swansea; brother in law, Kenneth Perreault; grandchildren, Tyrin Cashman, Gabriel Vultao and her fiancé Liam DaCosta, Dante Vultao, and Nathan Iwanski and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Mary Perreault.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
