I'm one of Jack's cousins. I lived in Howard Beach for the first 10 years of my life on 82nd Street. You're house was right in back of ours and your sister the first babysitter for my sister and me. I also remember her bringing little Michael and David up to my parents' house in Westchester and going to one of the county pools close to where we lived. My maiden name is Klinghoffer. Maybe it rings a bell. Your post brought tears to my eyes. Jack has been the nicest person since the day he was born. My Mom always said he was the cutest and sweetest from Day 1. This world needs more Jack Barlows. Joan Goodwin

I met Jack when he was our paperboy. My Mom used to drive my sister to school and would pick kids up along the way and give them a ride. Jack was one of them. My sister and Jack started dating and eventually got married. Although they divorced after many years we stayed in touch. First with birthday cards and Christmas cards and eventually through Facebook. He never forgot my kids' birthdays. Jack was a wonderful guy and will be greatly missed. I'm keeping all of his family and friends in prayers during this very difficult time.

Jack was a volunteer tax preparer at the Taunton Senior Center for 3 years, freely giving his time throughout the tax season (except for his annual golf trip with his friends at Seggy). He very much enjoyed helping others and being part of our team, as we enjoyed having him around. He is already greatly missed. Bill LaPlante

My heart breaks. Such a lovely man - always so kind, always with a sweet smile on his face. He was truly one of the good guys. We're all going to miss him. My deepest sympathy to Donna and all his loved ones. With love and prayers, Dawn & Kenny Poole
