Jeffrey M. Briggs, 35, passed away after being struck by a motor vehicle while walking home on Hart Street near Bristol-Plymouth High School.
Jeffrey was born in Taunton and was the son of Gary W. Briggs and Veronica M. (Hebert) Briggs.
Jeffrey worked as a cook at the Sandbar Grill for many years. He was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder throughout his life. Jeffrey treasured time outdoors, especially summers on Martha's Vineyard. He was warm, gentle, agile, smart, kind, goofy, and giving. He loved to spend time with his friends and family, who are one and the same, and he was loved by so many.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his children, Cameron Briggs of Taunton and Aubrey Briggs of Attleboro; brother, Jonathan Briggs of Brooklyn, NY; sisters, Sarah Briggs of Boston and Carolyn Briggs-Rousseau and her husband Eric of Lincoln, RI; nieces and nephews, Taylor Ferreira and Brayden, Noah and Owen Rousseau; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 4-8pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10am in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 19 Kilmer Ave., Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend directly to the church.
Burial will be private.
