There are people you meet during your lifetime who evoke happy memories and a smile whenever they are mentioned. Jean was that person for me. I loved her humor, quick wit, humility, empathy and "Mother" Nowak relationship with her students. I hope she knew how far reaching her positive impact was on students and peers alike. My heart and thoughts are with Jean's family, Roy and those who loved her.

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Nowak's family and friends. I had the pleasure of having her as my teacher at Somerset North Middle School. She had a wonderful wit and such genuine concern for her students' success. She was always generous with her intellect and kindness. My life was better for having known her.. Mrs. Nowak, rest in peace.
