Janice Leslie Anderson

Janice Leslie Anderson a lifelong resident of Taunton passed away on April 6, 2023. She was the beloved wife of James Anderson with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

She was born in Taunton and was the daughter of the late Leslie H. and Elizabeth M. (Coe) Phillips. She graduated from Taunton High School Magna Cum Laude, with the class of 1970. After high school Janice worked for years at Bay Bank, Norton. She took some time off to raise her children, once they were school age she went back to work. She worked for New England Sterling Inc. in North Attleboro for 26 years as a secretary and handling the corporate product line for Tiffany & Co. After her retirement, Janice enjoyed many road trips across the United States with Jim and her dog Phoebe, visiting all the states and most of the National Parks; her favorite being the Grand Canyon. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting specialty items for her shop on Etsy. She sold many handmade Christening sets all over the world plus novelty children's toys, hats and many monogramed baby blankets.

In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her son Brian J. Anderson and his wife Teresa (Rego); a daughter Amy K. Anderson and her partner Anthony Girardi; two grandchildren, Lesley and Darren Girardi; her sister Carolyn Galagher; and her dog Millie and cat Tucker. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.

Honoring her wishes, Janice was cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Friends and relatives are urged to give support to The Humane Society & Shelter 31 Ventura Dr North, Dartmouth, MA 02747 or any local animal shelter. Janice was a true animal lover and would much appreciate it. Arrangements have been entrusted in the care of Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. Taunton.
