James B. Jackson III, 69, of Rehoboth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. He was the devoted and loving husband of 47 years to Kathy (Silva) Jackson.
Born in California, he is the son to the late James B. Jackson and the late Carol L. (Wright) Jackson. James moved with his family as a child to Massachusetts and attended Massachusetts schools. After his high school graduation, James volunteered to serve in the United States Navy. He worked as auto mechanic after serving in the Navy and went on to work for various Textile Companies until his retirement. James enjoyed gardening and canning his home grown vegetables. He enjoyed fishing and held a strong affinity to woodworking. James very much enjoyed making furniture for family members. He also enjoyed working on cars. He loved to sit in his backyard in Rehoboth and watch the wildlife come and go, he especially enjoyed the hawks that would frequent his yard.
Along with his wife, James is survived by his brother Stephen Jackson and his wife Lisa of Seekonk. He was the proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren. James also leaves behind his in laws; Edward Silva of Florida, Alphonse Silva of Attleboro, Mike Silva and his wife Deb of Rehoboth, James Silva of Attleboro, Steve and Lena Silva of South Attleboro, Shirley and Rick Lapalme of Florida, Russell and Holly Silva of Attleboro, Skip Silva and Sue Silva of Attleboro and Cindy Brown of Attleboro. He is the brother in law to the late Patricia LaChance, the late Joanne Duphily and the late Claire Silva. James was the life long friends to Gene and Marilyn Heon.
