Obituary

James E. Caouette Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Rose (Lawrence) Caouette and husband of the late Virginia (Butler) Caouette of 63 years. He was a machinist in the Jewelry Manufacturing industry.  He enjoyed singing in his church choir, as well as in night clubs in the 60’s and 70’s, telling stories to anyone who would listen, and loved to cook, fish and paint.

He is survived by his children; Kathryn Desrosiers (husband David) of Warwick, RI, James E. Caouette Jr. (wife Susan) of Cumberland, RI, Sandra Crane (husband Brent) of Winterville, NC, Ernest “Buddy” Caouette of Lincoln, RI, and Melissa Bustamante of Pawtucket, RI, brother: Arthur “Lucky” Caouette, 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Raymond, Beatrice and Joan. 

His private funeral arrangements are in the care of the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 S. Main Street Attleboro, MA 02703. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Continuum Hospice and Palliative Care CHA Foundation C/O Continuum Hospice1412 W Magnolia Ave, Suite #100 Fort Worth, TX 76104.
