Hor Un (Paoheng), 78, of Attleboro, passed away at home on May 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 25, 1943, in Battambong, Cambodia, she was sixth born of eight children. She had five brothers and two sisters. She immigrated to the United States in 1985, and in 2005 she proudly became a United States Citizen.
She worked for Barlow Designs in East Providence before retiring in 2009.
She thoroughly enjoyed her family and her church, and was an active member of the Cambodian church community. She enjoyed gardening in her vegetable gardens, taking walks, and the Hallmark Movie Channel. But what she really enjoyed, was watching her grandchildren grow and thrive.
She will be sorely missed by her family, particularly her five grandchildren, two of which she lived with and nurtured. But she will also be missed by her many friends, and the many lives she touched both in Cambodia and the United States.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rang Kes, who passed away in 1977. She leaves her children: Saul and his wife Allison Kes, of Cambodia, Vy and his wife Ae Kes, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and Narvy Kes-DesLauriers, and her husband, Mark DesLauriers, of Attleboro. She also leaves her grandchildren: Silas, Jonathan, and Olivia of Cambodia, and Ethan and Aidan of Attleboro.
Visitation Hours will be at Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 4-8pm.
