Herbert James Flint, Jr, age 76, of Berkley passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Charlton Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Taunton and was the son of the late Herbert James and Mary (Silvia) Flint. Herbie was well know in his community; he had a great sense of humor, which often aided in his decision when given out his coveted nicknames; he was a loyal friend and local businessman. He was the epitome of a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. Herbie enjoyed watching reality television; hot rods -especially his 1923 T-bucket; he was the quintessential “redneck”, he loved his dog, Harley (aka Tiny)and adored his family; he raised his four children with his values and taught them many real life skills.
Herbie is survived by his children, Lori Cameron, Herbert “Butch” James Flint, III and his wife Diane, Tonya Flint, and Danielle Rebello and her husband Scott; his siblings Donna Rogers, Kevin Flint, and Jeffrey Flint; his twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Eric Flint; son-in-law Stephen Cameron; grandson Christopher “CJ” Flint, and his brother Michael Flint.
His visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 21st from 1pm-4pm at the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave.,Taunton. A Graveside service will be held on Monday at 11am at the Berkley Common Cemetery, N. Main St., Berkley. Kindly meet at the funeral home at 10am.
