My mother used to say “to love them is to feed them”. Dear Helen took every opportunity to express her love with confections from her kitchen. We had only moved in across the street from George and Helen on April 15th 1994, there was much to do in our yard, so Mother’s Day weekend we were covered in soil trying to create a shade garden when along came George with an entire cake for me that Helen had made. Thereafter we became regular recipients of her cookie platters. My Dear Friend we were blessed to have you in our lives.

We were so sorry to hear of Mrs. Helen's passing. Norma and Helen were friends since the 3rd grade. Such fond moments they enjoyed, especially the ones in the beautiful stone church they attended growing up. Norma shared what a wonderful person she was and how much she loved doing things for others...especially the big dinners she would have at her home. She was well loved and will be remembered fondly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Martin's passing. She has always been a strong presence in Union Methodist Church, and was one of my father's dearest friends. Many thanks to the whole family for the great memories I have of you all. My sympathies to all.
