Harold H. Phillips Jr, 93, of Taunton passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at home.
Born in Taunton; Harold was the son of the late Harold H. Phillips Sr., and Helen (Faltus) Phillips. He was a graduate of Taunton High School, and went on to honorably serve his country with the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Phillips was a devout member of the Silver City Baptist Church in Taunton. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and reading; especially the Bible. Harold always made sure to remember his family around the holidays.
Harold leaves behind his nieces; Ann LaFrance of Taunton, Susan Polanik and her husband Eugene of Raynham, Cynthia McCarron and her husband Christopher of North Dighton, and Diane Phillips of Wareham, nephew David Phillips and his wife Annamay of East Taunton, as well as many great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Everett Phillips and Leon Phillips niece Nancy Sienkiewicz, and nephew Kenneth H. Phillips.
Calling Hours for Mr. Phillips will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10am-11am in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service at 11am. Burial with Military Honors will follow immediately at the Chace Street Cemetery, Freetown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Facial Coverings and social distancing are required inside the funeral home and cemetery at all times.
