Gary D. Boissoneault, 66, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of forty-two years to Brenda (Alves) Boissoneault. Gary was born in Fall River, the son of the late Adrienne and Gilda “Diane” (Perry) Boissoneault. He was raised in Somerset and attended Somerset High School. Mr. Boissoneault began working as as surveyor for Yunits Engineering in Holbrook for several years, then for Tibbetts Engineering in Taunton for over fifteen years and then as a custodian for the City of Fall River for the past few years and has just retired in July. Gary was active at the Somerset Progressive Club and was a member of the Ellis-Haven Campground in Plymouth. He enjoyed music, playing his bongo, being outdoors and the time he spent with his family and friends especially his grandsons. Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Vanessa Boissoneault and her fiancé Chad Mazzarella of Westport; a son: Jamie Boissoneault and his fiancée Suzanne Cote of Fall River; two grandsons: Nicholas and Caleb; a sister: Shelley Amaral of Fall River; four brothers: Steven Boissoneault of Hawaii; John Boissoneault of Somerset; Peter Boissoneault of Somerset; Christopher Boissoneault of Swansea; along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jane Marchessault. Calling Hours for Gary will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 4-7pm with a Prayer Service at 6pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Facial coverings are required while in the funeral home.
