Garrett Byrnes will always be remembered as a man with a kind heart. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts later moving to Stoughton, Massachusetts, as his family had a vacation home in Assonet, Massachusetts in the Assonet bay shores later moving to Assonet permanently.
Garrett, “Gary”, graduated from Apponequet Regional high school in 1981. Gary comes from a large family his father Christopher Byrnes and his mother Mary “Marie” Byrnes had 4 kids Mary, Christopher, JR.” Chrissy”, Garrett, and Jacqueline. He started working on vehicles Beohler’s garage in Freetown Massachusetts and with continued training and education became an automotive technician. He worked in many dealerships around Raynham, Taunton, and the Fall River areas. He was always the person to go to if you were in need of help. He was always fixing something from plumbing to motors to anything he can get his hands on. Gary loved working on motors from cars to boats, it was his passion even though it beat up his body over the years. When it came to working with his hands, he was a very smart man. His father taught him plumbing and would take him on various jobs with him.
On November 5, 1993, his first son Shane was born and on December 3, 1996 his second son Kevan was born. His 2 sons were his pride and joy even though they caused him to grow gray at an early age. Gary loved his toys from gadgets to guns he loved them all, always playing around, some people would call him a big kid. He will be forever missed.
