Felix Tourinho, 97, passed away on September 4, 2021 at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Fannie (Rose) Tourinho.
Felix was born in Onset and was the son of the late Peter Tourinho and Minnie (Gonsalves) Tourinho.
Felix attended school in East Wareham and spent most of his life in Taunton, having lived in the same house for 60 years. He was employed for many years with Victory Shoe and Napp Shoe as a trimmer. Mr. Tourinho was also a longtime member of the Baptist Church of All Nations in Taunton where he also served as a deacon and dedicated many hours of his time to his faith and community. He enjoyed camping with his family especially the times he spent in New Hampshire and Cape Cod. Mr. Tourinho was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed rooting on his beloved Patriots and Red Sox. He will be fondly remembered as a prayer warrior, praying daily for all his family (immediate and extended) and all who called on him expressing their prayer needs. He genuinely loved his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
He is survived by his son, William B. Tourinho and his wife Maria of Taunton; siblings, Jack Tourinho and his wife Pat and Lydia Gabriel all of Florida; grandchildren, Jessica and William Tourinho, Pamela Koneski and her husband Brad and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Walter Tourinho, Mildred Walker and Patricia Duarte.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 10-11am in the Baptist Church of All Nations, 61 Winthrop St., Taunton, followed by his funeral home going beginning at 11am in the church.
Burial will follow in the Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
For those who wish, contributions in memory of Mr. Tourinho may be made to the Baptist Church of All Nations.
