Eugene A. Pelletier
Obituary
Eugene A. Pelletier passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center after a brief struggle with Metastatic Melanoma and other health related issues.
He was a strong Christian man who delighted in his faith and loved to talk about Jesus and to teach others all about the word. His greatest loves were his faith, his family and his friends. He would talk and smile at anyone and enjoyed telling stories about his life.
Gene was a kind and generous soul and he touched many hearts. He gave to many missions and would gladly give to anyone he felt was in need. He always said that he was doing God’s work.
He was liked by some and adored by many and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Lisa Pelletier; his grandchildren, Kendra and Chris Torres, Zach DaSilva, Nick Martin and Skye Pelletier, all of New Bedford; he had four great-grandchildren, Carmine and Kandris Torres and the late Cassiel and Kansis Torres also of New Bedford.
Gene is also survived by his sister, Rena Houghton, of New Bedford and his brother, Ray Pelletier of Dartmouth, as well as many other friends and relatives.
A memorial service for Eugene will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:30pm at Hope Evangelical Community Church, 88 Hathaway Road,North Dartmouth, MA 02747. Arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. For memorial register please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
