Obituary

Donalda "Dot" (Dupuis) Affonso, 99, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Alvaro C. Affonso Sr.

Donalda was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Albert and Alexandrine (Guilmette) Dupuis. She worked for Firestone and Norbert Manufacturing for many years as a machine operator. Dot loved to have her family over for the 4th of July. She also liked to go to yard sales, playing bingo and taking trips to Fox Woods.

Survivors are three daughters: Theresa Levell of Pepperell; Patricia Thornton and her husband Walter of Somerset; Carol Frazier of Fall River; two sons: Ronald Affonso wife Joan of Clearwater, FL; Alvaro Affonso of Dighton; twenty-two grandchildren; many great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Doris Catalina, Irene Joseph, Ernest Dupuis, Albert and Raymond Sallar.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 12 to 1pm, with a Prayer Service following at 1pm, in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street Somerset.
