Dolores M. Leonard, 91, passed away on January 9, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Leonard, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.
Dolores was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Daniel F. Lynch and Mildred (Greene) Lynch.
Dolores was a longtime resident of Somerset Village where she was well known in the community. In her younger years, she worked in the Borden Mills and also as a desk clerk at Marshall Electric Company. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church where she served as a CCD teacher and a member of the Women’s Guild. Dolores was honored to be a recipient of the Marian Medal for her dedicated work in the church. When not at church or caring for her family, Dolores could be found volunteering at the Somerset Historical Society or shopping for something fun and unique. She was proud of her Irish roots and will be remembered as a kind and gracious woman who cared deeply for her family and the Town of Somerset.
Dolores is survived by her children, Michael J. Leonard and his wife Karen and Brian T. Leonard and his wife Janice all of Somerset; grandchildren, Kelly A. Borges and her husband Kyle, Megan E. Neveux and her companion Tim Cabral, Sarah E. Leonard and Hannah E. Leonard; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Nolan, Camden and Allison; sisters in law, Edelweiss Lynch and Barbara Leveille and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Daniel Lynch, Jr., John Lynch, Chester Lynch and Donna LaFleur.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, Somerset.
