Dennis R. Alegi, 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, after a long illness. He was the companion of the late James Frias.
Dennis was born in Taunton and was a son of the late Albert and Virginia (Neves) Alegi.
Dennis served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a master electrician at Morton Hospital for many years until his retirement. Dennis enjoyed walking everywhere and listening to music. He also had a passion for historic fire trucks and unique antiques. Dennis owned his own antique fire truck for many years which he later donated to the Attleboro Fire Dept.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Alegi and his wife Susanne of Taunton; nieces, Gina Bryda and her husband John of Franklin and Tisha Thornton and her husband Scott of Evans, GA; and grand-nieces Hope and Paige.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 10am-12pm, in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
Burial will be private.
