Delia Bedard, 97, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2022 at the Catholic memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Leonel W. Bedard.
Delia was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Joseph Vadeboncoeur and Arzelia (Blanchett) Vadeboncoeur.
Mrs. Bedard was employed with Anderson Little for many years and operated Luke’s Variety Store in Somerset with her husband until her retirement. Delia enjoyed volunteering her time with the Literacy Program at the Fall River Public Library and the Department of Social Services. Always putting the needs of others first, Delia could always be counted on to help those in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed keeping her mind sharp watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Delia is survived by her sister in law Yvonne Vadeboncoeur; niece Michelle Vadeboncoeur and her husband Theo VanDinter.
In addition to her husband, Delia was preceded in death by her siblings and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 8:30-9:30am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea.
Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
