David L. Rose, 76, of Fairhaven passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Oaks in New Bedford after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Arthur Rose, Jr. and Leah (Hilditch) Rose, he grew up in Fairhaven and lived in Acushnet prior to returning to Fairhaven. David served in the Coast Guard Reserve in the 1960’s and later was the owner/operator of Dave’s Auto Sales in Acushnet.
He enjoyed working on, driving and going to classic car shows, and he had a collection of kit cars.
He is survived by his siblings, Judith Anderson, Arthur W. Rose and Alan F. Rose and his wife Janice all of Fairhaven and Barry S. Rose and his wife Karen Perry-Rose of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. David was the brother of the late Bradford S. Rose.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Susan Kim, for her dedication to David’s care throughout his illness.
