David A. Bank of Somerset, MA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 79. He was born in Fall River, MA to the late Lillian and Herman Bank. He is survived by his beloved wife Anne Marie and two sons, John Bank and his wife Terri of Laurel Springs, NJ and Attorney Chad Bank and his wife Gina of Cranston, RI. He also leaves behind five grandsons: Ryan, Andrew, Michael, Brooklyn, and Madden. Additionally, he leaves a niece, Cindy Irving, and her husband Matt of North Hollywood, CA.
David was a 1960 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and a 1965 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Prior to retirement, he was employed at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI as a Computer Scientist. He adored spending time with his sons and their families, especially when they were all together. David had many hobbies and interests, including billiards, working on his classic Pontiac 2+2’s, collecting antique pocket watches, creating artwork on scrimshaw, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy nightly. He was also an avid cat lover, a horse racing enthusiast, and played pinochle with his loyal friends for years. David will always be remembered by many as telling the best “dad” jokes.
Private services were held for the family on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
