Obituary

 

ATTLEBORO- Cynthia A. Hanlon, 86, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022 at Garden Place Healthcare in Attleboro.

Cynthia was born in Attleboro and was the daughter of the late Leo Thibault and Esther (Pineo) Thibault.

Mrs. Hanlon was employed as a technician at Texas Instruments for many years until her retirement. Afterwards, Cynthia found great joy in breeding and showing Siberian Huskies and later Shetland Sheepdogs under the name “Dreamcatcher Shelties”.  She participated in many aspects of dog shows, including conformation, agility and obedience.  She was a life member of the Colonial Shetland Sheepdog Club.  Mrs. Hanlon will be fondly remembered by her family and those who knew her best as a strong, active and independent woman.

She is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Hanlon, Jr and his wife Debra of North Attleboro; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Also by her nephew George Donelly, 6 niblings, 3 grandniblings and their mother Dawn Donelly.

She was the mother of the late Katherine (Hanlon) McGovern and former wife of the late Charles J. Hanlon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1-3pm at the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro, MA.

Cremation and burial will be private.
